LOCAL COMMUNITY
Being part of the
Community - During the last eight years
MCM
have supported the community of Jacksdale & Westwood by sponsoring
BADJER
News, acting as a drop-off centre for newsletter distributors, collecting
community group subscriptions and also by storing community group equipment.
Individual staff of MCM
have been involved with community events, with one member of staff standing as
BADJER
Newsletter Editor for five years and another member of staff
acting as the community group secretary and village webmaster for over
eight years. We have also helped to arrange Heritage events, Plant Fairs and other
fund raising events within the village.
We are also very
pleased to announce that our proprietor, Carol Taylor-Cockayne ( Back Row ~ Far
Right) has recently been awarded an Ashfield District Council Rural Citizen
Award for 2009 in recognition of the work she has done in the Community over the last 10
years.
